Soft lighting helps you relax. Ambient lighting (such as a small light you can adjust the brightness of, or pendant lights) can even make evening showers cosier and inviting. Some ambient lighting options are rechargeable.

If you do your makeup often, don’t paint your bathroom walls extremely light or dark. You want a neutral colour that bounces off your skin! You can add textured vinyl wallpaper however, to add some interest. Don’t use natural fibre wall coverings as they can spawn mould easily.
